We love the new breed of caravan owners who aren't just interested in the standard white box models.
Renovating, re-designing and re-styling old 'retro' models to customize them into a dream home on wheels is fast becoming the 'in' thing to do.
Whether it be an old touring caravan, motor-home or maybe an american Airstream trailer - people are now realizing it's not so 'un' cool after all.
The new owners of retro caravans and camper-vans come from all walks of life... families, young couples, older couples and the rich & famous.
Our aim is to provide you all with a place to share your memories, experiences, views and ideas. Find great places to stay (and maybe not to stay!) Hear about up and coming events, get the latest news and have the chance to see photos of other peoples cool caravans, projects and ideas.
We all share the same key values... to get away, relax and to see what's out there.
The sense of freedom when you are camping on a beach or mountain - the release from the conformity of your own home... and what a better place to stay but a lovely old caravan that has been styled just to your own perfection!
About us... how we got hooked!
Chris Haddon is a multi disciplinary designer with almost 20 years experience. He has a huge passion for retro caravanning and as well as an old 60's airstream caravan he
has converted into his studio in the garden, he has added to his collection a 70's Airstream and a 70's European caravan, which are both used for short breaks with his partner and their two young children (and of course the dog!).
Jane Field, a London based stylist, working in film and photography, is co-owner of a 1970’s caravan which she has re-styled in retro-modern mix, she enjoys the creativity and freedom of “a little hideaway” “it's not as serious as real design... but more fun... you can try things out, change things, enjoy not following rules.. be an individual”
